Intrinsic Media offers a host of services across the media spectrum to meet all of a company’s media and communication needs. Whether it is external communications, internal communications, creation of business or media relations marketing and branding strategy or research, Intrinsic Media has the appropriate skills to address all these needs.

Your brand is your emissary. Owning or creating an intrinsically strong brand is crucial when entering a new market, or sustaining your existing market. New and potential customers must come to associate your name with the service and product quality they expect and deserve. We’ll help you decide how to position your brand, and how to reflect that positioning through every facet of your business. Without this kind of alignment, the disparity between what you say and what you do can destroy your market credibility. We’ll help you take your branding strategy from conception to implementation, managing the creative process and facilitating the roll out of the tactical elements appropriate to the strategy.

Media Relations & External Communications

Our approach to media relations is to try and become an intrinsic part of your business. We will help you understand how the newsroom environment works, and give you a realistic view of what you can expect from a journalist. We will not, and cannot afford to issue press releases that sacrifice their integrity in terms of news value in order to carry marketing messages.

We do not measure our value in terms of monetary equivalents of coverage. The metrics are too crude and limited – the value of media relations does not only lie in what is published. The value we bring to media relations lies in the establishment and maintenance of sustained and positive interaction between our clients and the media. As experienced former journalists, our role is to be a conduit and a trusted advisor. We craft messages that are palatable to the journalistic eye, and facilitate interactions between clients and the media to pave the way for positive coverage, or manage the effects of negative publicity, as the case may be.

In the event of a media relations crisis, we will help you conceive and manage a crisis communications strategy and mitigate the effects of a potentially destructive piece of coverage or an antagonistic journalist.

Media Training

Media interaction is a blood sport. Our know-how can help you win the fight, and come out looking good. Planning the messages you want to send, and to ensure you convey those messages during the interview, is half the battle. We will facilitate your preparation, and help you win the other half of the battle by anticipating roadblocks and rehearsing the interview and your key messages with you.

Internal Communications

Like charity, effective communication begins at home. If your staff don’t embody and convey the messages you’re trying to communicate to the market, the disparity will be evident. We can help you structure, plan and execute effective internal communication that will involve and empower your people to live your brand when they interact with the outside world.

Writing

Writing is intrinsically an art. Every medium requires a different style, length, tone and structure. We have experience writing for clients and publications across multiple sectors, for a splash of different channels.
